Biotechnology Club
Purpose
The purpose of the Biotechnology Club is to further the knowledge of its members and to participate in biotechnology-related extracurricular activities. Through this club, the members will gain a better understanding of what it is like to be "in the industry" and get a first-hand view of the leading biotechnology industries that are based in Georgia. Besides educating its members about the biotechnology field, the Biotechnology Club also aims to educate other students about science. We aspire to educate middle school and high school students about the science fields and to encourage an interest in the biotechnology field. Biotechnology club also aims to educate the school population of the biotechnology field and the various advances in the biotechnology field. With membership, members will also be able to make connections and network with various other societies, including the American Chemical Society and GeorgiaBIO. Creating such a connection can further the members' knowledge of some of the leading techniques that are used in the biotechnology field.
