The WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) Program provides assistance to qualified individuals who meet eligibility requirements and/or are unemployed. Eligibility requirements may vary depending on funding source and economic conditions. Applicants are typically required to meet the following qualifications to be considered for WIOA assistance:
- Must be unemployed
- Must be a student in good standing
- Must be regularly accepted into an approved program of study. To find a list of approved programs by click here
- Must apply for financial aid, including HOPE and Pell Grant
- Must live or have worked in the WIOA service deliver area which includes: Barrow, Clarke, Elbert, Greene, Jackson, Jasper, Madison, Morgan, Newton, Oconee, Oglethorpe and/or Walton Counties
