Online reporting offered by the Behavioral Intervention Team is not monitored 24/7, and the Behavioral Intervention Team does not provide emergency response services. Emergency response services should be appropriately utilized for current or imminent threats. Though not an exhaustive list, some examples of when to call 911 and/or Campus Police are when someone is engaged in or planning severe or dangerous behaviors toward self or others, when someone is engaged in or planning destructive behaviors toward property, when someone's judgment and ability to care for self are significantly compromised due to psychiatric decompensation, or when someone is experiencing a severe medical issue.
